Safety Management System Confidential Reporting

The Mobile Airport Authority (MAA) is committed to the safest airport operations standards possible. MAA'S Safety Management System (SMS) is a proactive, business-oriented approach to managing safety in all airport related activities. Safety shall not be compromised or sacrificed for production. MM team members are the key resource to the success of the SMS and, every team member is responsible for communicating information that may compromise the integrity of operations at MAA. Such communication may be confidentially reported through the MAA SMS Program.

• The MM will facilitate the uninhibited reporting of incidents or hazards by removing any fear of retaliation to all personnel at MM through our confidential reporting system.
• Develop a system to protect team members, the collection, recording, and distributing of information obtained from the reports, to the extent permissible by law.
• I urge all team members to use our confidential reporting system to help MAA become a leader in providing our customers and members with the highest level of safety.
• Should follow-up action be required, MAA will take all reasonable steps to avoid disclosing the identity of the reporter or individuals involved in the occurrence.
